8 people were injured in the accident
Chennai: On Friday, 9 people were killed in Pernambet, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu, when their house collapsed in constant rainfall.
The dead included four women, four children and one man. When the family was asleep, the house collapsed.
Fire and rescue personnel and police rushed to the scene and took the injured away.
Eight people were injured in the accident and are receiving medical assistance at Peranmbet Government Hospital.
The body undergoes an autopsy at the Peranmbet Government Hospital.
